SEINFELD RETURNS TO SMALL SCREEN
Beloved U.S. funnyman JERRY SEINFELD is returning to TV after 11 years - as a marriage counsellor.
The comic, who wrote and starred in longrunning sitcom Seinfeld, is planning a new show for America's NBC network entitled The Marriage Ref.
The series, co-created with Oprah Winfrey's executive producer Ellen Rakieten, will feature celebrities talking about the highs and lows of married life, according to Variety.
But Seinfeld is adamant the show will focus on the amusing aspects of being husband and wife.
He tells the publication, "This is not a therapy show, it's a comedy show. After nine years of marriage, I have discovered that the comedic potential of this subject is quite rich."
