SEGEL INSPIRED BY BRAND'S ATTITUDE

JASON SEGEL based his character in I LOVE YOU, MAN on RUSSELL BRAND - because the British funnyman's onset charisma was so strong.
Segel and Brand starred together in the 2008 hit Forgetting Sarah Marshall, in which Brand plays an overly-confident, womanising rock star.
And the comedian's attitude during filming was so impressive, Segel stole his moves for his very next movie role.
He says, "I was so jealous of Russell for how much he 'popped' in Forgetting Sarah Marshall that I thought it was an opportunity to do my American version of him. So I put on a swagger and tried to be quite cavalier.
"Russell has this attitude that I don't have. He's like: 'This is who I am, Take it or leave it'."
