SECOND AUTOPSY REQUESTED IN JEWELL DEATH

The body of R&B singer-turned-reality star KANDI BURRUSS' late fiance is to be exhumed after his family ordered a second autopsy.
Ashley Jewell, who appeared alongside the former Xscape star on U.S. reality show The Real Housewives of Atlanta, died in October (09) following a brawl in a bar parking lot in Atlanta, Georgia.
Police have ruled his death a homicide after the Fulton County Medical Examiner found the massive head injuries he suffered in the bust-up had aggravated Jewell's existing medical conditions, including sickle cell disease, leading to his passing.
Officials listed the cause of death as: "Physical altercation resulting in sickle cell trait related exertional collapse," and named contributing factors such as an enlarged heart.
But Jewell's relatives are not entirely convinced by the coroner's report and the Fulton County District Attorney has "tentatively" agreed to grant the family's request for another autopsy.
