SEAGAL UNIMPRESSED BY ACTOR-TURNED-MUSICIANS

Action man STEVEN SEAGAL is unimpressed by actors-turned-musicians, insisting JEFF GOLDBLUM is the only screen star who can pull off the transition. The actor/musician, 55, started his own music career as the tender age of five when he learned to play guitar and is currently touring the UK with his blues band THUNDERBOX. Seagal has watched actors such as JULIETTE LEWIS, BRUCE WILLIS and JARED LETO cross over to music with varying degrees of success, but is not convinced they have got what is takes. He says, "I don't consider any actors to be real musicians… I'm probably going to get in trouble after saying that. "I think Jeff Goldblum is the only good musician. He's a good pianist." Seagal's UK tour ends in London on Sunday night (18MAR07).
