SCREENWRITER AVARY PLEADS GUILTY TO MANSLAUGHTER
Oscar winner ROGER AVARY faces jail time after pleading guilty to vehicular manslaughter and driving drunk.
The Pulp Fiction screenwriter is accused of causing the death of a passenger in his Mercedes, while driving under the influence.
Avary, who shares his Best Screenplay Oscar with Quentin Tarantino, will be sentenced in California next month (Sep09).
The 43-year-old writer's wife was injured when the Mercedes he was driving hit a telephone pole in Ojai, California in January, 2008. A friend, Andreas Zini, was killed. Avary has previously apologised for the accident.
