R&B star-turned-actress Jill Scott is expanding her screen career and branching out into voice acting - she's to voice X-Men superhero STORM in a new Marvel cartoon mini-series.
The singer has earned critical acclaim for her role in TV drama The No.1 Ladies' Detective Agency and has since gone on to land parts in upcoming TV movie Sins of the Mother and Tyler Perry's big screen release Why Did I Get Married Too?
Now Scott will make her first foray into the world of animation in Black Panther, a collaboration between Marvel and U.S. cable network Black Entertainment Television (BET).
Scott will lend her voice to Storm - a role portrayed by Halle Berry in Hollywood's X-Men trilogy - starring alongside Djimon Hounsou, Kerry Washington and Alfre Woodard.
Black Panther will air in the U.S. later this year (10).
