SCOTT THOMAS 'TOO CHIC' FOR BRITISH TV
English actress KRISTIN SCOTT THOMAS is desperate to take on a television project in England, but says her "snobbish" image prevents her being offered parts. The ENGLISH PATIENT star, who now lives in France, praises Britain's "daring" TV shows, but fears she is too stylish for the small screen. She tells French magazine Paris Match, "I'd really like to do a television project in England, because they are much more daring over there. The problem is that, although the Brits like to do things in an extreme way, they will not include me in them. "My image in England is that of a slightly snobbish, overly chic woman. London, let's not forget, is the land of 12 stone girls in gold miniskirts. The trend at the moment is one of extreme vulgarity. By comparison, I'm extremely distinguished."
