SCORSESE BACK WITH LEO

Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio are to team up for yet another movie, reports suggest.

According to Variety, the legendary director and the Aviator star are to work together for the fourth time on Shutter Island, an adaptation of Dennis Lehane's novel.

Production will begin in March on the picture, which tells the tale of US Marshal Teddy Daniels searching for a psychopathic murderess on the run from an insane asylum and believed to be hiding out on the titular isle.

Di Caprio played Amsterdam Vallon in Scorsese's Gangs of New York in 2003 and was nominated for the best actor Academy Award for his role as Howard Hughes in The Aviator. The pair most recently worked together on The Departed, a remake of 2002 Hong Kong thriller Infernal Affairs.

Variety reports that location scouting is to begin shortly, with Massachusetts, Connecticut and Nova Scotia likely shooting destinations.

The cinema adaptation of Lehane's novel Mystic River earned Sean Penn and Tim Robbins the best actor and best supporting actor Oscars in 2003, while the critically-acclaimed Gone Baby Gone - Ben Affleck's directorial debut - is also based on a Lehane work.
