SCHNEIDER DRIVES ORIGINAL GENERAL LEE OUT OF THE GARAGE FOR NEW FILM

DUKES OF HAZZARD star JOHN SCHNEIDER has brought his famous General Lee Dodge Charger out of the garage so he can drive it in a new movie. Schneider, who played BO DUKE in the cult TV series, will again be seen behind the wheel of the car in new family comedy film JOHN SCHNEIDER'S COLLIER + CO. - HOT PURSUIT! The movie, which is out in limited release in the southern US states, was written and is directed by Schneider and the 1969 Dodge Charger, dubbed TRAVELER, is one he claimed from the set of Dukes of Hazzard. He says, "Collier + Co. is the most original and exciting car chase movie since SMOKEY + THE BANDIT." In the film, the actor plays a former racing driver struggling to keep his family together in the midst of a divorce from his wife. A spokesman for Schneider says, "You can't say that any one car is the General Lee because so many were used during the making of Dukes, but the one John owns is one he drove in the TV series - and that's a major part of this film."
