Leo Sayer has become the third contestant to quit Celebrity Big Brother by bashing his way through one of the walls with a broom.

Although he has been threatening to leave for days, a dispute over pants was the final insult to push him over the edge.

He attempted to get some fresh pairs from Big Brother, but after a heated exchange in the diary room he stormed out, shouting: "I'm leaving the house guys 'cos Big Brother won't provide me with underwear."

After bashing his fists on a two-way mirror he then grabbed the broom and bashed his way out through the wall.

And with that the curly ginger-haired 70s singer ended his short-lived BB career.

Other contestants who have also quit the contest are director Ken Russell and punk rocker Donny Tourette.

Whereas Leo's breaking point was pants, Ken stormed out after the arrival of BB3 contestant Jade Goody, her loudmouth mother Jackiey and boyfriend Jack.

Back in the house the remaining contestants are in shock, with model Danielle Lloyd exclaiming "I can't believe he's gone!" and former S Club 7 singer Jo O'Meara saying that "everyone's going mad in here".
