SATURDAYS 'INSPIRED BY SPICE GIRLS'
THE SATURDAYS have revealed that THE SPICE GIRLS are their single biggest inspiration.
Since bursting on to the music scene, the girlband have drawn many comparisons to GIRLS ALOUD, with whom they toured last year.
However, singer Frankie Sandford said they have honed their craft by studying the approach of the hugely-successful 1990s band.
"Who we look up to as a band, though, are the Spice Girls. We do get compared with them a lot, which is a load of fun. Emma Bunton told me she really likes us which was such a compliment," she said.
Fellow band member Vanessa White said they were keen to introduce more pop to the indie-saturated market.
"Pop is fun and has loads of energy. We want to bring pop back and make everybody like it again," she said.
THE SATURDAYS recently revealed that they will release their second album before the end of the year.
