SAMUEL L JACKSON SIGNS TEN-MOVIE DEAL

Fan favourite SAMUEL L JACKSON has been signed up for a ten-movie deal with Marvel.

He has been confirmed as the actor who will be playing Nick Fury, as hinted at during the closing credits of IRON MAN last year.

An agent of spy outfit SHIELD, the character will feature in movies including IRON MAN 2, CAPTAIN AMERICA and THE AVENGERS, as well as a possible film about the organisation.

"Jackson and Fury were expected to be part of [the IRON MAN] sequel, but as Marvel negotiated with its cast, deals proved hard to come by," The Hollywood Reporter reveals.

The agreement recently seemed uncertain due to rumoured disagreements with the studio but Marvel has now confirmed the ten-movie deal.

Earlier this month, EMILY BLUNT pulled out of IRON MAN 2 due to a scheduling conflict with a film she is shooting for 20th Century Fox.

It has been rumoured that SCARLETT JOHANSSON could be in the running to take the role of Black Widow in the film.
