SAM AND DAVE MAN SAYS MOVIE PRODUCERS RIPPED HIM OFF

Sam Moore, half the 1960s R&B duo Sam & Dave, says he is considering suing the produers of the upcoming Soul Men , starring Samuel L. Jackson and the late Bernie Mac, which opens on Oct. 24. In an interview with the New York Daily News , Moore charged that the movie ripped off his career with Dave Prater, who died in 1988. He noted that he had heard that the movie features a reunion concert like the one that he and Prater had in 1982 after not speaking for years. "Sam Jackson and Bernie Mac sing 'Hold On, I'm Coming,'" he added. "That's also our song." However, David Friendly, who produced the movie says it's copletely fictional. "I think it's unfair of [Moore] to criticize a movie he hasn't seen."
