SALMAN KHAN HITS OUT AT INDIAN MEDIA
Bollywood heart-throb SALMAN KHAN has hit out at the media in his native India, accusing publications of "exploiting" him by portraying him in a "negative" light. The STRAIGHT FROM THE HEART (HUM DIL DE CHUKE SANAM) actor, 40, has received a barrage of bad press in recent years following his arrests in various criminal cases. Khan is currently awaiting trial for killing one man and knocking down three others when he drove his car onto a Mumbai (Bombay) pavement in 2002. The actor was convicted in April (06) of illegally hunting the endangered Chinkara, while he is also awaiting trial for killing two black bucks in Rajasthan in 1998. Khan, ex-boyfriend of former Miss World and actress AISHWARYA RAI, fumes, "There's a business section that wants to portray everything negatively so that they can sell magazines or get top ratings on TV. "They write controversy after controversy."
