RYAN FACES TRIAL FOR ASSAULT CHARGES

LATEST: British singer LEE RYAN will stand trial in relation to a New Year's Eve (31Dec07) scuffle with a taxi driver. The former Blue star, 24, is accused of attacking a man following a minor traffic incident in Surrey, England. He was charged with common assault earlier this month (13Feb08) after turning himself in to authorities at Reigate police station. At a hearing at Redhill Magistrates' Court in Surrey on Friday (29Feb08), Ryan entered a plea of not guilty, but was ordered by the judge to stand trial. He is due back in court on 7 May (08) for the start of the trial.
