RUSHDIE DENIES DATING SPORTSTAR
Award-winning author SIR SALMAN RUSHDIE has denied rumours he is dating American athlete AIMEE MULLINS.
The British author has ruled out a relationship with the 31-year-old star by revealing she already has a boyfriend.
And Rushdie, 60, confesses he is tired of denying romances since his marriage to TV presenter Padma Lakshmi ended last year (07).
He says, "Only a couple of months ago I was in love with Carrie Fisher apparently. Before that I was having an affair with a Bollywood actress.
"Aimee is a dear friend of mine - and so is her boyfriend."
