ROWLAND STILL MORTIFIED BY BRIDAL COVER AFTER WEDDING CANCELLATION

Former DESTINY'S CHILD star KELLY ROWLAND is still mortified she appeared on the cover of American magazine Modern Bride just days after she called off her wedding. The SURVIVOR singer was planning a wedding to Dallas (Texas) Cowboys American football player ROY WILLIAMS last year (05), when the couple realised they were too young to get married and called the whole thing off. She explains, "Our timing couldn't have been worse. That issue of Modern Bride had just come out. I was so embarrassed! "For weeks I would walk past the newsstand at the speed of light, my hat pulled down. I didn't want anyone to see me or ask a question. "But of course fans and reporters did ask, 'What happened?' and I just said, 'It's postponed.' The 25-year-old insists she's learned a lesson when it comes to talking to the press about her personal life, adding, "Roy and I both got so caught up in that feeling of excitement that we wanted to shout our joy from the rooftops. "I should have remembered our relationship was still very personal and precious - and treated it as such."
