ROWLAND NARROWLY ESCAPES INJURY BY FAN'S FLYING HAT
R+B star KELLY ROWLAND had her headline performance at the Great American Gay Day 2008 rudely interrupted on Friday (23May08), when she narrowly missed being hit by a fan's hat.
The Dilemma hitmaker was midway through her set at the Californian event when one devotee threw their white hat at the stage - almost hitting Rowland in the face.
The backing music came to halt as she called out to the crowd to identify the assailant - before making him apologise for his actions.
In video footage obtained by website TMZ.com, she can be heard saying: "Who threw that up here? Come to the front, come to the front."
The fan quickly apologised and Rowland handed back the flying headwear before resuming her performance.
