ROWLAND AND GUETTA RUSHED SONG RELEASE OVER COVER VERSION

Former DESTINY'S CHILD star KELLY ROWLAND rushed the release of her new single with DJ DAVID GUETTA after an illicit cover version leaked on the Internet.
The pair topped the British music charts on Sunday (21Jun09) with When Love Takes Over, but the track was not due to be released until later this year (09).
Guetta admits they were forced to unleash the song early because another version began circulating online - and the star decided to beat the music thieves in the charts rather than face a lengthy court battle over copyright.
He says, "There was a dodgy cover and that is so crazy I could not believe it. They put out a dodgy cover before our record was out. That was not very cool. That is why we had to rush putting the record out, because it was not good for us or the people who were buying the wrong version. We put the download out because I have no time to waste trying to stop them through the legal process.
"I just wanted to get my version out so that people would know which one they should buy."
