ROURKE VOWS TO MAKE UP FOR LOST TIME
Hollywood's comeback king MICKEY ROURKE has vowed to make up for lost time after recapturing his acting career, acknowledging he'll be dropped like a rock if he falls off the rails again.
The 52-year-old star has made a triumph return to the big screen after more than a decade in the Hollywood wilderness battling drug addiction.
His role in The Wrestler has already earned him a string of award nominations - and he is hotly tipped for an Oscar.
But he refuses to get carried away and promises he'll spend the rest of his career making up for the mistakes he made in the past.
Rourke says, "I've got many regrets and I know I'm not going to get another chance, but I've got a lot of time left to make up for the 13 or 14 years I didn't work.
"All I want to do is be the best goddamn actor I can be."
