ROTH HAD 'NOTHING TO DO' WITH HEROIC PLANE ACTIONS

Rapper ASHER ROTH has laughed off reports he helped to tackle and detain a man who made bomb threat onboard a flight from Atlanta, Georgia on Wednesday (07Jan09), insisting he had "nothing to do" with it.
Roth, who was flying to Los Angeles, was hailed a hero after he allegedly helped to pin down the wannabe terrorist, who had assaulted a member of the Delta Airlines cabin crew, with his guitarist Chris Llewellyn.
But he has dismissed the praise he has been receiving, because it was Llewellyn who did all the work - and Roth missed the incident altogether.
He tells New York radio hosts DJ Cipha Sounds and Peter Rosenberg, "Apparently I'm (24's) Jack Bauer.
"Really, man, I had nothing to do with that. I mean, that's all my dude Chris Llewellyn. The guitarist/bassist in the band... He's the one who detained the man.
"I didn't witness it or anything like that. So he heard the 'help me, help me' from the back of the plane and he was the first to respond along with a couple of other gentlemen and like, pin the dude down. The dude was like, 'I've got a bomb, I've got a bomb,' but this is all hearsay. I didn't get to witness any of it . I'm just happy Chris was there."
Meanwhile, Llewellyn has been speaking out about the incident too.
In a separate interview with the Los Angeles Times, he explains, "The suspect was yelling, 'Don't come near me, I have a bomb, I have a bomb!' We all jumped him. He was struggling hardcore. I was holding down his arm. Somebody had a foot on his head. Everyone was holding down a different body part. He was going nuts. I was telling him to chill because he's not going anyplace."
The man was detained by FBI agents at the airport for questioning. An FBI spokesperson told reporters no bomb was found.
