ROSSI LOSES HIS PONYTAIL

STATUS QUO star FRANCIS ROSSI has finally cut his hair - after 35 years of wearing the same trademark ponytail.
The guitarist, 59, first grew his hair long in the 1970s as the band shot to fame and has sported the style ever since.
But Rossi admits he is no longer able to carry off lengthy locks as his hair has started to thin.
He says, "A few weeks ago it dawned on me that I looked ridiculous. So I decided to forget about clinging to my youth and it was time to grow old gracefully. When it came off I was horrified to look at these six inches of wizened grey strands and realised I must have looked really stupid."
