RONALDO ESCAPES CRASH UNINJURED
Portuguese soccer ace CRISTIANO RONALDO has miraculously walked away unscathed after smashing his Ferrari into a barrier in Manchester, England.
The 23-year-old Manchester United player was racing through a tunnel on Thursday (08Jan09) morning when his red supercar hit a road block. One of the car's wheels came off and the front bonnet was completely demolished, making it a write off.
Ronaldo was able to emerge uninjured, albeit a little shaken, and police have confirmed a breath test came back negative.
A spokesman for his soccer club confirmed the incident, saying, "He was involved in an incident this morning. No other cars were involved.
"He's fine and is training as normal with the team this morning."
Ronaldo is expected to return to the soccer field on Sunday (11Jan09) when Manchester United take on Chelsea.
