ROMANEK ABANDONS WOLF MAN

Filmmaker MARK ROMANEK has quit the new BENECIO DEL TORO movie WOLF MAN, citing "creative differences" for his departure. The director walked out on the werewolf film on Monday evening (28Jan08), but studio Universal Pictures insist Wolf Man is not in trouble and a new moviemaker will be appointed to take over soon. Production on the project - which also stars Sir Anthony Hopkins and Emily Blunt - was scheduled to begin on 18 February (08), reports industry publication Variety.
