ROLLING STONES TOUR HIGHEST EVER EARNER

THE ROLLING STONES have overtaken Irish rockers U2 for the record of biggest grossing tour in history. The MICK JAGGER fronted group's A BIGGER BAND tour have made $437 million (GBP226 million) from 110 concerts and performed to over 3.5 million fans. The group's success comes despite several setbacks, including delays and cancellations due to Jagger developing laryngitis and a postponement when guitarist KEITH RICHARDS fell from a tree while on holiday in Fiji. Jagger also had to return to the UK from the US two weeks ago when his father became ill and passed away. Irish rockers U2 previously held the record for the top-grossing tour with their recent VERTIGO tour making $377 million (GBP195 million).
