RODDENBERRY'S WIFE LEAVES TRUST FOR DOGS

The widow of STAR TREK creator GENE RODDENBERRY reportedly left a substantial portion of the sci-fi mogul's fortune to the couple's pets after she passed away last year (09).
Roddenberry died in 1991 and his widow, Majel, passed away in December (08) - and she distributed her late husband's fortune in her will, with a sizeable chunk reserved to look after the family dogs.
According to papers obtained by TMZ.com, Majel set up a $4 million (£2.75 million) trust to ensure the welfare of the animals after her death.
A domestic employee, Reinelda Estupinian, who was charged with looking after the pets, was left $1 million (£689,6555) and the right to live in the family's Los Angeles mansion with the dogs.
The Bel Air home was passed on to the couple's son Eugene Wesley, Jr, along with the bulk of Roddenberry's wealth.
