ROCKER DOLMAYAN BUYS FIRST SUPERMAN COMIC

SYSTEM OF A DOWN rocker JOHN DOLMAYAN has paid $317,200 (£226,571) to buy the first ever SUPERMAN comic at an online auction.
The untouched Action Comic No.1 - which shows the Man of Steel lifting a car on the cover - went on sale on 27 February (09).
After a two-week auction, Dolmayan entered the winning bid on Friday (13Mar09).
Although the unnamed seller had hoped for closer to the $400,000 (£285,000) estimate value, they have still made a huge profit; having originally bought the comic for just 35 cents (£0.25)
