ROCKER DANDO 'REWARDED' HIMSELF WITH NEW LEMONHEADS ALBUM

THE LEMONHEADS frontman EVAN DANDO reformed the band to record its first album in eight years as a "reward" for his last few years of sobriety. Cult rocker Dando, who turns 40 next year (07), has found he now "likes being alive", following years of drug abuse. He says, "When I started out, I was young, I was punk rock and I didn't care. I just wanted to mess around and have fun. You're only young once and I made the most of it. "When I made it past 35 I thought, 'Actually, I kind of like being alive.' So that was when I started to change things. "Now I'm about to turn 40 I want to do something good. For me, making a record is its own reward."
