ROBYN: 'TIME OFF FROM SHOWBIZ HELPED ME AVOID SPEARS BREAKDOWN'

Swedish pop star ROBYN has credited taking time off from the celebrity world as the reason why she avoided ending up like her pop peer BRITNEY SPEARS. The singer, who found fame in 1997, aged 18 with hit Show Me Love, recorded backing vocals for the Toxic star's new single Piece Of Me, and both stars have worked with producer Max Martin. But Robyn, now 28, believes taking a break from showbiz in her teens helped her avoid erratic behaviour and breakdowns - unlike Spears. She says, "We are different. Success did come to me very young but I managed to take time off which I think was a very good move. "Maybe it does show intelligence on my side, but I knew that all that mattered was the music and I needed to be in a place where no-one tells me how to do it."
