ROBYN MODELLING CAREER AFTER MADONNA
Swedish singer ROBYN has named her next radio single after a classic MADONNA song - despite disliking the pop legend's current sound.
Robyn - real name Robin Carlsson - borrowed the title of her newest track from Madonna's 1987 number one hit Who's That Girl.
But she insists her new song takes the famous phrase in a completely different direction.
She says, "The line is of course from Madonna... (but) it's more than just a reference to Madonna. The song is about the concept of her being this pop icon and what I would do with it.
"People make immediate connections when they hear the title so it's fun to play with that."
But the self-confessed Madonna fan is less than impressed with the icon's current single 4 Minutes: "I was hoping that Madonna would come out with another Papa Don't Preach so I'm a bit sad. But I haven't heard the album yet so maybe it will surprise me."
