ROBERT PLANT CALLS ZEPPELIN REUNION REPORTS "RIDICULOUS"

Hopes for a full-scale Led Zeppelin reunion seem dead in the water after Robert Plant described press speculation as "frustrating and ridiculous".

The 70s rock legends reformed for a one-off charity concert at London's O2 Arena last December, with more than 20 million people applying for the 20,000 available tickets.

And rumours of the Whole Lotta Love greats reforming have continued at a pace since the O2 show, with the Sun newspaper this week reporting that Plant had agreed to a reunion tour.

However, a statement from the lead singer scotched the rumours and said he did not plan to tour with anyone for at least two years, following the October completion of his US dates with Alison Kraus.

"Contrary to a spate of recent reports, Robert Plant will not be touring or recording with Led Zeppelin," it said.

"Anyone buying tickets online to any such event will be buying bogus tickets."

The statement continued: "It's both frustrating and ridiculous for this story to continue to rear its head when all the musicians that surround the story are keen to get on with their individual projects and move forward.

"I wish Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones and Jason Bonham nothing but success with any future projects."

Bonham, son of Led Zeppelin's original drummer John Bonham, fuelled speculation last month when he claimed to have been working on new material with Page and Jones.
