ROADS IS A NEW MUM

Country singer KIMBERLY ROADS is a new mum after giving birth to baby Daisy Pearl in Arizona on Friday (27Jul07). The daughter is the first child for the Little Big Town star and her husband Stephen Schlapman. The baby arrived three weeks early while Little Big Town were on tour and Roads' bandmates were forced to accompany the new mum and her husband to hospital before travelling on to Las Vegas to perform a concert as a trio. Bandmate Jimi Westbrook says, "It was the first time we have ever done a show without all four of us but it was a special situation, and we all decided that's what needed to be done." The group plans to complete the tour without Roads. Westbrook adds, "We only have a few shows left on the tour, and we just didn't want to disappoint the fans. We can't even tell you how much we are missing Kimberly and, of course, little Daisy."
