RITCHIE'S A ROYAL DESCENDANT

Filmmaker GUY RITCHIE is descended from royalty - he is related to Britain's King Edward I.
The director is a distant descendant of the monarch, according to the 1911 U.K. census which has been published on the internet for the first time.
Ritchie is also the great, great grandson of renowned Major General Edward MCLaughlin.
Jude Law's background has also been revealed - the star is from a family of London bakers.

Are you retarded? A distant descendant? No such nomenclature exists. Distant RELATIVES would indicate that they are co-laterally related through a common ancestor. However, a descendant is a descendant. Granted, Edward I is obviously many generations above Ritchie (about 20- I know because I too am a DIRECT descendant of the King through his bastard child Lucy Corona, and maybe DIRECT was the word they wanted to use). But please, just say that Ritchie is many generations removed from the king, because distant descendant makes it sound like he is more genetically dissimilar to King Edward than the average descendant (excluding the royals, who are more genetically similar thanks to inbreeding).
