Actress RITA WILSON has sold a comedy script to Twentieth Century Fox.

The SLEEPLESS IN SEATTLE and RUNAWAY BRIDE star, who is married to Hollywood actor TOM HANKS, will also reportedly take a leading role in the project, which is titled TERMS OF EMBARRASSMENT.

It follows a middle-aged married couple who end up attending the same college as their son, causing massive embarrassment.

This is the first time Rita has penned a script, although in addition to her acting roles she has produced the comedy MY BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING and acted as executive producer on the hit musical film MAMMA MIA!.

She is currently working on a Disney movie entitled OLD DOGS alongside funny man ROBIN WILLIAMS and JOHN TRAVOLTA and is also reported to be starring in an as-yet-untitled film from NANCY MEYERS.

Rita's other half Tom Hanks can currently be seen on the big screen in ANGELS AND DEMONS, a follow-up to THE DA VINCI CODE.
