RIHANNA "DOING WELL" AFTER PHOTO LEAK

Rihanna has released a statement regarding the alleged attack by her boyfriend Chris Brown after pictures appearing to show her bruised face were leaked.

The Umbrella singer released the statement through her representatives, who said: "At the request of the authorities, Rihanna is not commenting about the incident involving Chris Brown.

"She wants to assure her fans that she remains strong, is doing well, and deeply appreciates the outpouring of support she has received during this difficult time."

Although Brown has said he is "sorry and saddened" after the incident, which took place on the night of the Grammy awards where the two were due to perform, Rihanna has stayed silent until now.

Her comments followed an apparent leak of a photograph which appear to show the Barbadian star with facial bruising.

Los Angeles police have launched an investigation into the source of the leak.
