RICKMAN + PULLMAN TO RECREATE WINE HISTORY

HARRY POTTER star ALAN RICKMAN and actor BILL PULLMAN will recreate the wine world's biggest shocker in a new film about the infamous 'Judgment of Paris.' Wine connoisseurs across the globe were stunned when upstart vintners in California beat the French experts in a blind taste test in 1976. The event sparked the Californian wine industry, which has since become a world leader. British wine expert Randall Miller will direct the film, Bottle Shock, in which Pullman will play a hopeful American vintner and Rickman the English expert who brings the French and the Californians together for the contest that was to change the wine world. Bottle Shock will begin filming in the Napa and Sonoma Valley wine regions, in California, next month (Aug07).
