RICHIE + MADDEN DISAGREE OVER GODMOTHER ROLE
New parents NICOLE RICHIE and JOEL MADDEN are battling over who will be their baby daughter HARLOW's godmother. Richie wants pal Paris Hilton to act as the tot's guardian, while rocker Madden would prefer to name his future sister-in-law, Aussie actress/model Sophie Monk, godmother. A source tells America's Globe, "Joel doesn't think Paris is up to the task... He's lobbying for Sophie." Monk will become part of the Madden family when she weds fiance Benji Madden, Joel's twin brother and Good Charlotte bandmate. Richie and Madden welcomed baby Harlow into the world in Los Angeles last Friday (11Jan08).

Joel & Nicole aren't even married yet, so I think having a maybe soon to be member
of Joel's family would be nice but it's Nicole's call on this one. After all she
did give birth 2 this little miracle. (Not that u didn't help Joel) But we all know
the relationship Nicole has w/Paris, and I think Paris should be Harlow's god-mother
and she would step up to the plate if need be.
