RICHARDSON HAS NO REGRETS OVER FATAL ATTRACTION SNUB

British actress MIRANDA RICHARDSON turned down the role of a psychotic mistress in hit 1987 thriller FATAL ATTRACTION because she thought the movie was "hideous".
Richardson was originally offered the role of Alex Forrest, opposite Michael Douglas, but rejected the job after reading the script.
The role was subsequently given to Glenn Close - and the film helped her become a household name.
But Richardson insists that even the promise of a glittering Hollywood career would not have tempted her to take the part.
She says, "I genuinely can't do c**p. If I don't believe in a role, I can't pull it off. There would have been people who wondered why on earth I would not do that role, but I felt so strongly that is was demonising women. I thought it was hideous and I didn't want to have anything to do with it."
