Actress DENISE RICHARDS has hit out at accusations her show of goodwill to ex-husband CHARLIE SHEEN's new fiancee was set up for the paparazzi. The former Bond girl sent a bouquet of flowers to Brooke Mueller after hearing the realtor-turned-actress was to marry Sheen last month (Jul07), but friends of the new couple claim the gesture was merely a publicity stunt to garner some good press for Richards. One Sheen pal tells the New York Post's gossip column Page Six, "Denise set it up. Brooke never got the flowers, but she did get a call from Denise saying, `It's an emergency, come meet me now.' "When Brooke met her, there were four paparazzi waiting to take their picture. After the pictures were done, Denise told Brooke, `It's been taken care of.'" But Richards insists, "I did ask both Charlie and Brooke to lunch to see the kids - he hadn't seen them in two weeks - but only Brooke took me up on it. "The paparazzi were already following me, as they do every day, and took a picture - and I have the bill for the flowers I sent from Mark's Garden. Brooke even showed my nanny the flowers." Richards filed for divorce from Sheen in 2005 after a turbulent marriage - but she insists she is thrilled with his new relationship and has been spotted shopping with Mueller. Meanwhile, Sheen is taking his ex back to court to address child custody issues.
