RICHARD PONDERS MEMORIAL

SIR CLIFF RICHARD is already planning his final resting place - because he is anticipating legions of fans coming to pay their respects to him.
The 68-year-old singer had always wanted to be buried alongside his family, but is now worried the site isn't big enough to accommodate the huge numbers of fans who will want to pay homage to him.
So the veteran crooner is trying to come up with a compromise
He says, "There is a family plot where my father and mother are buried but I have been assured that when I do pass on a lot of my fans will want to pay homage to me and visit my grave, so that family plot might not be suitable.
"Perhaps I should think of a last resting place that is more accessible to people. I'm not thinking of being dead or buried, although I will have to make some arrangements about a grave eventually.
"Mind you, I have no fear of death at all, although I keep fit to keep death at bay. I want to play tennis on my 100th birthday and I'm not joking."
