Irish actor JONATHAN RHYS MEYERS is baffled by SIR IAN MCKELLEN's decision to appear in British soap opera CORONATION STREET, because he's convinced taking a guest role in a TV series would be "damaging" to his glittering career. The MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE star believes a role on the small screen is not a "proper job", and would never take up such an opportunity. He says, "I'll watch FOOTBALLER'S WIVES though I'd never consider a role on it as it would be very career-damaging. "People would think, 'Why the f**k are you doing that? Can't you get a proper job?'"
