REZNOR RAISES THOUSANDS FOR HEART TRANSPLANT MAN WITH NINE INCH NAILS INCENTIVES

NINE INCH NAILS frontman TRENT REZNOR has helped to raise more than $260,000 (£173,330) to fund a dying man's need for a heart transplant after appealing to fans for donations.
The rocker launched a campaign on the band's website earlier this week (begs18May09) offering fans special incentives to pledge cash to aid 27-year-old Eric De La Cruz, after seeing his plight documented on U.S. TV.
De La Cruz urgently needs to undergo surgery but has been unable to get medical insurance to cover the $780,000 (£520,000) cost of the operation.
And Reznor's efforts have already given De La Cruz's bid for cash a huge boost - generous fans have been digging deep in their pockets to raise over $260,000 in just two days.
Wealthy devotees with $1,000 (£667) to spare can donate the amount to the good cause and land themselves an invitation from the band to "hang out with us before the NIN (Nine Inch Nails)/JA (Jane's Addiction) show of your choice."
The group adds, "You and a guest can watch soundcheck, eat dinner backstage with us, take pics/get autographs and watch the show from the side of the stage if you'd like."
Those less financially well-off can make a smaller donation of $300 (£200) to gain access to a soundcheck session and meet-and-greet with Nine Inch Nails.
