REUNITED PHISH HEADLINE BONNAROO WITH SPRINGSTEEN AND BEASTIE BOYS

Cult rockers PHISH will reunite to lead the lineup of the 2009 Bonnaroo music festival, joining fellow headliners BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN AND THE E STREET BAND and the BEASTIE BOYS. The band confirmed plans to reunite last month (Jan09) for a list of summer tour dates - the first since their split in 2004 - and were hotly tipped to headline the four-day event, which features 120 acts on 13 stages.
It is the only festival in 2009 on the itineraries of Springsteen and Phish, and the only confirmed date of the year for the Beastie Boys.
According to the president of festival co-producer Superfly, Jonathan Mayers, Phish will play on the Bonnaroo main stage on two separate nights.
Also on the lineup are Nine Inch Nails, David Byrne, Wilco, Al Green, Snoop Dogg and Elvis Costello. Other performers include Erykah Badu, TV on the Radio, Merle Haggard, Animal Collective, the Decemberists, and Lucinda Williams.
Phish will play pre-tour shows in Virginia in March (09) and hit the road in June (09) before kicking off the event.
The Bonnaroo Arts & Music Festival will be held in June (09) at a 700-acre farm in Manchester, Tennessee.
