Kristen Bell has denied her 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall' co-star Russell Brand is a lothario, insisting he is respectful to women.

Kristen Bell says Russell Brand is "respectful" and not a "womaniser".

The Hollywood beauty - who canoodled with the British lothario in the comedy film 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall' - has revealed the 34-year-old comic star's image as a ladies man is just a facade.

She is quoted as saying: "I might be the only woman in the world who speaks about him like this but Russell is not who he says he is.

"Maybe it's because I'm as sassy as he is and I drew my line very quickly, but he was extremely respectful to me."

The 29-year-old actress was impressed with how Russell - who is dating singer Katy Perry - put her at ease when they had to film racy sequences for the movie.

She explained: "We had to do love scenes and he was always concerned that the sheet was pulled up far enough. If I needed water he would get up and get it so I didn't have to get out of bed in my underwear in front of the crew. He was very nice."

Russell recently revealed he is in love with Katy and wants to settle down with the 'I Kissed A Girl' singer.

A source said: "Russell has had a crush on Katy for ages and was like an excited schoolboy after they got together. He really sees her as an ideal catch and is prepared to stop seeing other girls."
