REPORT: KIEDIS BATTLING KIDNEY DISEASE

RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS rocker ANTHONY KIEDIS has reportedly been secretly battling kidney disease.
The rocker was a regular patient at a Los Angeles hospital over the summer (08) and narrowly escaped kidney failure, according to Britain's The Sun newspaper.
The 46-year-old is thought to have responded well to treatment after visiting L.A.'s Cedars Sinai Medical Center on numerous occasions.
A source tells the publication, "His health was pretty bleak.
"There was talk of getting him on a transplant list. But people with histories of drug and alcohol abuse are less likely to receive organs they need."
However, the source adds that Kiedis is "getting better".
Representatives for the star have not commented on the reports.
