RECORD LABEL FILE COMPLAINT OVER GATELY ARTICLE

Executives at BOYZONE's record label have filed an official complaint with the U.K.'s media watchdog over a controversial newspaper column which alleged there was "nothing natural" about STEPHEN GATELY's death.
Polydor Records, a European affiliate of Universal Music, decided to lodge the grievance with the Press Complaints Commission (PCC) following a staggering backlash to an opinion piece in Britain's Daily Mail newspaper.
To date, the article has garnered 25,000 complaints from readers who found the tone of the copy offensive.
Despite the number of complaints, PCC bosses insisted they won't investigate grievances from parties who are not "directly-affected" by an article.
But now, with Polydor's complaint filed, it could lead to the PCC taking action against the publication for printing the column.
A representative for the record label confirms a complaint has been submitted, but refuses to give any further details.
Irish singer Gately died at his home in Majorca, Spain on 10 October (09) from a build-up of fluid on his lungs. A post-mortem concluded the singer died from natural causes.
