RAZORLIGHT NEARLY QUIT AFTER BURROW'S DEPARTURE
British rockers RAZORLIGHT considered disbanding earlier this year (09) after drummer ANDY BURROWS quit the band.
The percussionist, and song writer, left in March (09) - blaming "personal reasons" for his departure.
Frontman Johnny Borrell insists his pal's shock exit nearly ended their time in the group - because they weren't sure they could go on without him.
He says, "It was not at all certain that we were going to carry on. We had kind of rehearsed for it because we had exactly the same situation just after the first album, where Christian Smith-Pancorvo left, then Andy came in."
But Borrell reveals the band are back on track with the addition of new drummer David 'Skully' Sullivan-Kaplan.
He adds, "Skully fit in right away. He's a really great guy and an excellent drummer, so it all feels new and exciting."
