RAZORLIGHT DEBUT NEW SONGS
RAZORLIGHT have aired new material to adoring fans at the Northern leg of the BBC's Electric Proms.
The band - who have are currently working on their third album SLIPWAY FIRES - played several new tracks at the gig at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall on Saturday.
Drummer Andy Burrows told BBC 6 Music that the special event was the perfect opportunity to debut their unheard songs.
"It's the first night that we have mainly played our new record to a crowd who don't know it. We have got some extra percussion, some kettle drums and a few musicians who we don't usually take around with us.
"My little brother is doing a few things and some friends of ours are singing backing vocals."
He went on to say there are "wonderful" venues dotted all over the UK, adding: "There was no question that we wanted to come out of London."
SLIPWAY FIRES is scheduled for release in November.
