RAY TO DEAL WITH KATRINA FALLOUT IN SHATTERED GLASS
Director BILLY RAY will be one of the first film-makers to deal with the aftermath of last year's (05) Hurricane Katrina when shooting begins on new American football drama HURRICANE SEASON. The SHATTERED GLASS movie-maker is basing his project on FRANKLIN MARTIN's upcoming documentary WALKING ON DEAD FISH, which tells the true story of the East St John High School in New Orleans, Louisiana. The school's football team struggled to integrate displaced students moved in from surrounding teams whose areas were devastated by the natural disaster. Ray says, "It's about something that I love, which is this idea of what sports can do to a community. "In this case, it's a team that came together to both literally and figuratively rebuild the city around it. I find that completely compelling."
