RATHER READY TO RETURN TO BROADCASTING

Dan Rather says that his upcoming Dan Rather Reports for Mark Cuban's HDNet cable network is "going full throttle." In an interview with New York Daily News columnist Lloyd Grove, Rather said, "Cuban has given me absolute and complete editorial control. ... Cuban told me, 'I want you to have whatever you need for a quality program,' and he's been as good as his word, and in many instances better tha
n his word." His first documentary, in which he interviews soldiers at Fort Stewart, GA, who are either heading toward or returning from Iraq, is due to air in late October or early November, he said.
